All you beer drinking bike riders please read and respond to the big question..TIME OF START.
I have planned the first "Bike Pub Crawl" on August 9th. There was some discussion about the start time so I'm posting this message with pros and cons about morning vs afternoon start time.
The Pub Crawl should take about 4 hours from start to finish with 5 stops.
Anyone that can't make the start can join in at any stop, just call me, Sandy Sandoval, 713-724-3269, I'll tell you where we are.
Morning start, 11AM
Con
1. Those that work in the morning may not be able to start.
2. Your afternoon is consumed.
Pro
1. Starting early beats the heat and/or rain.
2. Avoids crowded situations at each stop.
3. Ending at 3 during happy hour.
4. Your evening is still available to party.
5. You have the morning to take care of personal business.
6. Get home before dark.
Afternoon start, 3PM
Con
1. Those that work in the evening may not be able to finish..
2. Your evening is consumed.
3. All stops will be crowded so getting served will be a challenge.
4. You will be riding during the heat of the day and/or rain.
Pro
1. You have most of the day to take care of personal business.
2. Ending at 7 but may still have one stop with happy hour prices.
3. Maybe get home before dark or party til after dark.
