Archuleta County Fair Competition: August 5, 2011
HOPS is proud to help sponsor a BJCP-sanctioned competition on Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Archuleta County Fair in Pagosa Springs, CO. Competition entries can include beer, mead, cider, wine and spirits so get a bottle ready for entry so you can get some honest objective feedback from experienced judges. Best of all, there is no fee to enter and the competition only requires one bottle per entry!
All BJCP beer, mead and cider categories (1-28) will be judged along with special categories for wine and spirits. Competition entries must be submitted by individuals age 21 or older and the following rules apply for competition entries.
- Only one bottle per entry is required. All entries must be in cleaned and sanitized bottles.
- Bottles must be at least 10 oz for beer and 375 ml for both wine and spirits. Grolsch-style swing caps are not accepted.
- Only one (1) entry per sub-style is allowed (e.g., you may enter category 4a, 4b, and 4c. But not category 4a twice.)
- Beer style and sub-style must be specified on entry form.
- Unsuitable or mislabeled entries may be determined unworthy by the judges and may be re-categorized or disqualified.
- Categories may be combined based on number of entries.

Entry Submissions
You may submit your entries on August 4 at the Archuleta County Extension Building at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds. You may also leave your entries at Pagosa Brewing Co. at 100 N. Pagosa Blvd from July 28 to August 3. Please leave each entry with a proper BJCP entry form, available online at http://www.bjcp.org/docs/SCP_EntryRecipe.pdf.

30. Red Grape
31. White Grape
32. Berry
33. Choke Cherry
34. Stone Fruit (Peach, Cherry, etc.)
35. Other Fruit
36. Other (Vegetable, Flower, Misc.)
37. Blends (any combinations)
38. Sparkling Wine
39. Dessert Wine
40. Spirits, Cordials, Liqueurs
