Hiya HOPS Heads,
I just got an email about a homebrew competition in Alaska that is offering cash prizes for winners! You don't hear about that too often. Info is below. If you have any additional questions about the competition you can contact them at the email info below. If you have any questions for me, please email me directly at randy@speeddirect.com rather than replying to this email (because if you do it goes to the entire universe of beer).
Cheers ~
Randini

Email: stihlerunits@mosquitobytes.com Dear Pagosa Brewing Company,Greetings from Alaska! My husband and I are organizing the 16th Annual E.T. Barnette Homebrew Competition. It has a $500 prize for the Best of Show entry!!Last year we had 49 entries from a total of 8 states. In fact, over 70% of the entries came from outside of Alaska. We received entries from as far away as Alabama and Mississippi. We have developed a reputation for having really terrific prizes. Last year we were able to give each entrant at least one T-shirt in their size. Because it is a bit more expensive to ship beers up to Alaska we try to provide each entrant with some sort of prize to compensate them in part for the added shipping costs. This is why I am sending you this e-mail. Most homebrewers when asked have said that they LOVE T-shirts from breweries! We need brewery T-shirts, hats, bottle openers, coasters, etc.We\'re asking for no more than 2 or 3 shirts (sizes M and up). We do not wish this to cost you much in mailing so small items that are fairly inexpensive to mail are best!We package the shirts etc. with any related promotional literature that you send along (brochures, flyers, coasters, labels, etc...). We also provide a link to your webpage from our Competition Results webpage. If you could be of assistance we would very much appreciate it!For more information regarding this competition please visit our Beer Events webpage at: http://www.mosquitobytes.com/Den/Beer/Events/Events.html#ETB.
